The servo cover has came off and all the fluid is leaking out. Its just the right size for the family, and not so high i cant get in but not too low either. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who replaced the transmission. This year I feel slipping in first gear of the transmission. Also doing these visits I would complain about a possible transmission problem which was always ignored and not resolved. I really want to buy a used tranny for obvious reasons price. I am hoping to not have to replace this transmission. These are not cheap repairs. We had a similar slipping problem about a year ago and had the fluid flushed and replaced and it seemed to resolve until now.
Passenger side seat belt intermittently only allows retraction regardless of the brakes are depressed or not. Apparently this is a common thing with this car. Cut engine and tighten fill bolt. Has a little over 100,000 miles. Now I am looking to fix this problem by either replacing the transmission or repairing the problem.
I really like it but it does not have a very good record for having only 6 months and it has been in the shop 2 of those months. The current mileage is 46,000 and failure mileage was 36,000. I've been driving it all these years and only 2 things failed; the water pump had to be replaced 5 yrs ago, and this past Friday, May 30, 2014, the blower motor went out. I liked it, she not so much, so it only racked up 30000 miles with us--but no problems whatsoever. It has 2H, 4H and 4L. Im considering putting a 99 Rodeo 4x4 transmission in an 02 axiom 4x4. The driver will have Reverse and 3rd, with manual 2nd available by putting the gearshift in 2 or 1 doesn't matter.

I hope this suv does not kill my family and me. It has been smooth sailing with this vehicle. Axiom transmission are near impossible to find and when one is located it costs 3,000 to have installed.
Now I'm concerned for my safety and for my families safety. Thats how I ruined my Saab. If I just kept the transfer case from the axiom would it bolt right up to the rodeo transmission, thus solving the tansfer case issues? I took the car back to vista ford and later I contacted their repair shop manager and they were unable to verify the cause, and I was only told that all forward gears were shredded and that gear material was found in the transmission pan and that a high pressure pump within the transmission unit could have potentially cause the incident. Has anyone on here had slipping problems with their Axiom? All of a sudden wouldn't go into gear.
