It might also not be seated correctly. Any diagnostic fault codes in the engine computer's memory will also be lost. The seals have been prematurely deteriorating and causing the transmission fluid to leak out of the Ram 3500. Please report bad advice to the mod team.
It was actually changed about a year ago. I did not have any of these repairs done at Dodge although I purchased Dodge parts because they have never fixed anything without either screwing up something else or just not properly repairing the problems. The last two days all of the shifting problems have disappeared, granted I've only driven for 20 mins at a time. Check the filter tube and O-ring, too. They have improve them now but it went out on me again at about 75,000 miles, not good then. When it is first started in the morning it would have a hard time shifting up gears and would instead over rev in 2nd. I have documentation of Dodge's declination, as well as my efforts to have them help me.

I agree with those of you who relate to this vehicle as a lemon -- will never again buy another american made vehcile until they begin concerning themselves with quality and reliability. The transmission solenoid needs to be replaced before it completely destroys the transmission. Upon taking the vehicle for repairs the mechanic informed us that the manfacturer was aware of the problem, which was caused by an inner seal groove. Switch seems to be working fine. Check the Tran fluid level, a little low, added some and brought to full. I also did not trust them to properly repair my vehicle.
